Some Testimonies from the Kawara Church

3/19/2015

I thought you might like to hear a couple of the testimonies given by those who have come to put their trust in the Lord.

One woman who has recently come to know and trust in Jesus for salvation said that since making this decision, she has no longer been troubled with nightly nosebleeds.

One man spoke of needing to clear a new field in preparation for the next planting season.  He asked some brothers from another local church to help.  They came, worked hard and there were no accidents.  He is very grateful.
Just an aside here, they are using hand tools, it is very physically demanding work and there is always a threat of snakes, scorpions and other dangers.

One couple shared that on Saturday night their baby was sick with a high fever.  They prayed together over the child, gave some medicine and on Sunday morning awoke to find the child in perfect health.

We are thankful to see the work of God in the lives of each one as they put their trust in Him.  It is a dynamic faith, full of glory even when the road is difficult.

March visit to Kawara

3/13/2015

The weekend of 7 - 9 March Yacouba and I drove up to Kawara to have team meetings and see the progress of building and development.
The builders have finished another phase of construction on the High School and at present the electrician is there finishing his installation work.  Next will be adding stucco to the outside of the building, filling in the land around the back side, painting the classrooms and building latrines.  Additionally the sports area will need to be cleared out and then we are ready for classes when the new school year starts.  Whew, it's been a long haul but the progress is wonderful to see.

Now to get busy and register our school with the government.  Thanks in advance for praying for this process.
