Storm follow-up

5/4/2017

Abraham was in town today to make contact with people whom we need to have help us with repairs in Kawara following the storm damage in April.  Tomorrow morning he will head back to Kawara with two men who will check out the roof on our house and make recommendations for repairs to keep the rain out.

This afternoon we met with the man who initially installed the solar water pump on the water tower.  He and his team will make a stop in Kawara tomorrow to get the new control panel working, as well as install a dual system pump so that when the solar goes out, water may still be pumped by hand.  He will also look at what needs to be done to replace the metal water tower with a plastic one.  Repainting the interior surface of the metal tower every six months is cost prohibitive.

We are thankful that Abraham was protected from eye injury while he was recently working inside the water tower, removing old paint and rust and then applying a new coat of paint.  As he and another man were working, a broom handle fell from a distance above him and struck his nose/glasses.  Thankfully he had his glasses on so that his eye was not hurt.

Another recent incident where he saw the Lord's protection was during a return trip from Tougan with cement and other supplies.  It was dark and there was a hole in the road coming up.  Suddenly a bull walked onto the road and just stopped instead of continuing on his way.  The truck hit the bull in the rear end rather than swerving, which would have created a nasty accident.  Abraham was able to get back home but then noted that the impact with the bull had caused the radiator to be punctured.  He was able to get that repaired.  We are so grateful that the Lord watches over and keeps our lives in safety time and again!

Thank you for praying for us.
